Who We Are
The Bremer River Network (BRN) is a collaborative alliance dedicated to enhancing the natural environment of the Bremer River catchment area in South East Queensland, Australia. Established in 2016, the BRN serves as a catalyst for positive change by fostering communication and collaboration among diverse stakeholders, including community groups, landholders, Indigenous communities, government agencies, researchers, and environmental practitioners.
Driven by a shared commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship, the BRN links experience, knowledge, people, and action to achieve tangible outcomes for the health and vitality of the Bremer River catchment. Our collective efforts are guided by a set of overarching principles aimed at promoting resilience, integrity, and inclusivity in all aspects of catchment management.
Through strategic initiatives, collaborative projects, and engagement activities, the BRN seeks to empower individuals and organizations to play an active role in protecting and restoring the ecological integrity of the Bremer River and its surrounding landscapes. By promoting dialogue, sharing best practices, and fostering innovation, we strive to create a future where the Bremer River catchment thrives as a vibrant and resilient ecosystem for generations to come.
Join us in our mission to cultivate a thriving and sustainable Bremer River catchment, where communities and nature flourish in harmony. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in safeguarding this precious natural resource for future generations.
